Kevin Secours was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. Although he began his training in Karate at an early age, his search for functional self-defense skills led to a broad and detailed study of many arts. Early in his training, he earned a 1st degree black belt in Akai Ryu Jujitsu and full instructorship in Five Animal Shaolin Chuanshu. His continuing studies included experimentation with the Filipino martial arts, tai chi, chi kung, silat and yoga, and eventually brought him to Modern Kempo Jujitsu in which he currently holds a 3rd degree black belt.

Kevin has taught throughout North America and has been internationally published in a number of leading martial arts magazines and journals. A professional educator by trade with a Bachelors of Education from McGill University, he is continually striving to improve the quality of martial instruction while promoting the power of his arts.
